10 Random facts about me...

Seeing as i'm COMPLETELY new to this whole blogging thing I thought that i'd let you guys know more about me, what i'm interested in, and what I want to achieve out of life...

1) My favourite city is Paris-I've never seen so much culture in one city before, it's amazing.

2) I want to travel the ENTIRE world, there's really not a country that doesn't appeal to me, I'm very open minded where traveling is concerned.

3) I would love to live in Japan, Japanese culture really interests me...and Japanese food is just to die for!

4) I would love to buy a bike and a tent and cycle all the way down to Italy, taking in the all sights on the way...Heaven.

5) I want to go to university abroad, and hopefully will do. Seeing a different part of the world whilst gaining a qualification = Winning.

6) I love 80's bands, such as Joy Division and The Smiths...I miss music like that, nothing in the charts today really appeals to me, It's all overproduced rubbish.

7) I spend half my time social networking. I happily facebook and tweet my life away!

8) I am roadtripping across America next year-All the way from California to New York-I am hoping that this will broaden my mind and inspire me to want to travel more!

9) I'd like to go to space if someone gave me the money to pay for it...anyone?

10) Luxury travel doesn't appeal to me at all, I'd rather get the proper adventure experience-roughing it, camping out and living on a budget!

Pray for Japan...

Hey everyone, following the tragic natural disaster that hit Japan on Friday I feel the need to create this post...

The awful catastrophe that has hit Japan has left an enormous amount of damage and predictions that the death toll could top 10,000. The earthquake, which reached 8.9 on the richter scale and triggered a tsunami, struck the northeast coast of Japan on Friday, effecting the capital, Tokyo, as well as the surrounding areas. Tsunami warnings were also in effect for the entire pacific, including Hawaii, West Coast USA and Indonesia.

In order to help Japan at this time we need to donate money to the British Red Cross. The link is here...

Please remember guys that every penny counts, and we need to do everything we can to restore this beautiful country back to how it was :)

Much love, E xxx

Travel, Travel, Travel...

Traveling means an awful lot to me; I want to meet new people from all over the world and experience different cultures and lifestyles. I believe that we should all try and see as much of the world as we can, for we only get one chance at life, and one chance to see all that this beautiful planet has to offer.

This summer I will be embarking on a road trip across the United States, traveling from the Sunshine State, California, all the way to New York City! I opted to go on a road trip across America instead of just spending my time in one area in order for me to be able to see all that this diverse country has to offer. I am hoping that this trip will help me to be more independent and open minded and also motivate me to work hard so that I am able to see more of the world. A lot of people ask me if I am nervous or scared about traveling on my own, my answer to them is 'no' as I believe that we can adapt to different countries just as easily as we can adapt to different situations. Maybe after this trip i'll know for sure that traveling is what I want to do, give up my 9-5 lifestyle and just hit the road.

...Who knows?
